Everyone who has ever written considers writing itself to be many things.

I’ve heard many who say they hate writing of any kind. The thought process is they only do it because it’s a must.

I’ve read and heard from those who love to write. These people do it because it’s a passion within their heart or maybe they like to write, but that’s it. The intensity isn’t there; they do it because they get something out of it.

I’ve mentioned this before in another article of mine.

Writing Versus Dreaming

When I was younger, I dreamed up the fiction stories but didn’t write them down. The older I became, I wrote non-fiction instead. Now, I put both the writing and the dreaming together.

I eventually went to poems and shared my feelings. To me, it was like a mathematical equation. How do I write my feelings in a few words? How can I make this poem rhyme and keep it within a few syllables? How do I make it clear enough for the reader to understand?

I didn’t always hit my goal, but I still have the availability to return to my poems and change them.

Through writing different types or styles, it led me to my main project, a book I’m in the middle of writing.
